Dear Professor Prince (I was a sophomore at Brandeis when I took your course so you will always be Professor Prince to me): I want to thank you for nurturing a life-long love of phonology. Although I moved from theoretical linguistics to speech-language pathology, I have attempted to apply the phonological principles I learned in your class to my research examining phonological development and disorders in bilinguals. I wish you all the best in your retirement. Congratulations.
